Margarida (Reis) Serrano, a resident of Tewksbury, passed away at Winchester Hospital on March 5th, 2023, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julio Serrano, who passed away in 2018, just before their 56th anniversary.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, Margarida was the daughter of the late Antonio C. Reis and the late Maria De Luz (Morrera) Reis. She spent her childhood in the Azores before moving with family members to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she met and married her husband Julio in 1962. Margarida was skilled in stitching and worked in various roles in the textile industry in the United States and Brazil. After retiring, she worked as a cashier at Market Basket for over 15 years, where she made many friends.
