Brett Nicholson, 63, of Ventura, California, passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2023. He was born on December 12, 1959, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Bruce and Sylvia Nicholson.
For 30 years, Brett worked in the drywall and tapers union, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his strong work ethic and dedication. However, Brett's greatest joy in life was his family. In Ventura, he met the love of his life, Sara Nicholson, they were married 41 years and had three children: Matthew (Jeanine), Crosby (Celisse), and Tyler. Brett was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who adored his grandchildren, Savannah, Dylan, Jolene, Lucas, Selah, and Caden.
Brett was known for his selflessness and kindness, and he always went out of his way to help those in need. He had an infectious sense of humor and was a joy to be around. Brett's sudden passing has left a profound sadness in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held on Thursday evening March 16, 2023 from 5 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday morning March 17, 2023 at 11:00am in Carpinteria District Cemetery, 1501 Cravens Lane Carpinteria. A celebration of life for Brett will follow at Poinsettia Pavilion 1:00PM – 5:00PM Ventura. All are welcome to attend and share their memories of Brett with his family and friends.
Although Brett will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing he lived a life full of love, laughter, and happiness. They also take comfort in knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Rest in peace, Brett Nicholson. Your life story will be forever remembered and cherished by those you touched with your kindness, generosity, and infectious sense of humor.
