Eileen M. (Latta) Breen, age 92, of Raynham formerly of Brockton, died March 3, 2023 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Breen for 52 years. Eileen was born and raised in Somerville, a daughter of the late David and Mary Latta, and was a graduate of Somerville High School.
When her children were young, Eileen was a stay at home mother. In later years she was a bookkeeper for the American Heart Association and Dr. Packer’s Chiropractic office. In her free time, Eileen enjoyed her family, loved to go to the movies, and was an avid reader.
Eileen was a devout catholic and a communicant at St. Ann’s Parish in Raynham. She was a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the food pantry at St. Edith Stein Church and the American Heart Association.
Eileen was the mother of Richard Breen, Jr. and his wife Donna of Middlefield, MA; Timothy Breen and his wife Nancy of Hampton, NH; Ellen Engelhardt and her husband Paul of Raynham, MA; Elizabeth McAuliffe and her husband David of New Port Richey, FL; Michael Breen of Foxboro, MA, and cousin Sue & Richard Wolverton of Wareham, MA. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and was the sister of Barry Latta of Florida and the late David Latta.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Sunday March 12, 2023 from 3-6pm. Her funeral Mass will be Monday, March 13 at 10am in St. Ann's Parish, 675 N. Main St, Raynham, MA 02767. The procession will proceed to the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne for committal at 12:30pm.
