Christine Masiello, age 62, of Somerville passed away on Friday, March 3rd surrounded by her loving family. Raised and educated in Somerville, she was the daughter of Phyllis (Volpicelli) Masiello and the late Joseph A. Masiello, Sr. Christine worked for many years as a manager for Good Times Emporium and went on to be employed as a senior clerk with the Somerville Police Department for the past 10 yrs. Her whole life was centered around family and friends. She was adored by everyone who knew and loved her. Christine was also a huge fan of the Red Sox and was lucky enough to meet some of her favorite players. She leaves behind her beloved fur-baby Gia, and her fur-nephew Ringo.
Christine was the dear sister of Donna DiTucci and her husband William of Tewksbury, Joseph Masiello, Jr. of Nashua, NH and his partner Pam Hale, Joanne Masiello of Arlington and her partner John Fitzgerald, and Lorraine Gadsby and her husband Donald of Billerica. She was the beloved “Auntie Chris” to Danielle, Erica, Kristen, Joseph III, Michael Christopher, Calvin Joseph "CJ", Shyanne, Michael Joseph, and the late Donald Jr. Christine is survived by 13 great nieces and nephews as well as her lifelong friends, the Golden Girls: AnnMarie Ciccariello, Ellie Diantgikis and Maria Mirabella.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit in St. John the Evangelist Church, 2254 Mass Ave., Cambridge on Tuesday, March 7th from 8:30 AM to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
