Worcester – Dolores H. (Beaudin) O’Connor, 89, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center after a long illness.
Dolores was married for 55 years to the late John F. O’Connor, who died in 2014. She is also predeceased by her two sons, Denis and Neil O’Connor; three brothers, Lorenzo Beaudin, Urbain Beaudin and Clement Beaudin, two sisters, Lucille tenHompel and Lucienne Wasiuk. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Graniteville Vermont, daughter of the late Aime and Exilda (Fontaine) Beaudin. She graduated from the former Saint Anne’s Academy in 1951 and then worked for many years at the Worcester County Courthouse, where she met her husband.
Dolores was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church,and was very active in the parish in her younger days. She was on a bowling league for decades and enjoyed many great friendships. Cooking and entertaining were her passions, and it brought her great joy to bring people together to eat, drink and laugh. Dolores took care of so many people in her life and will be remembered for her generous and kind spirit.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 6 at 11 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church 555 Pleasant St. Worcester. Burial will be at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester before the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Dolores may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
