Myrtle Lanell Bohannon, 84, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Agape House of Lexington, in Lexington, South Carolina.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Timothy Fussell officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery.
Mrs. Bohannon was born March 21, 1938, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Henry & Nancy Johnson Cato. She was a 1957 graduate of Broxton High School and worked for Prudential Life Insurance in Jacksonville, Florida and Eastman, Georgia. While living in Fitzgerald, she was a sales lady for B.C. Moore & Sons. Mrs. Bohannon was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Dewayne Bohannon and his wife, Yvonne; and a daughter, Denise Bohannon; five grandchildren: Nikolas Ramirez & Kristian, Colby Bohannon, Cameron Bohannon, Carson Bohannon and Grayson Bohannon; two sisters: Gladys Walker and JoAnn Roberson and two brothers: Raymond Cato and Charles Cato. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ive Bohannon; a sister, Brenda Hammontree and a brother, Otis Cato.
