Diane Kathryn Barriere, 62, of Worcester died Monday, February 20th at home. She leaves two sons, Richard L. Barriere, III of Sturbridge and Joseph Bechard of Attleboro; and a brother, John Polydores of Worcester. She also leaves her four-legged companions, her cats, Mittens and Blake.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of John and Carol (McConville) Polydores. Diane was a beautiful soul. She was always bright and shining, who despite being in a wheel chair for the better part of her life, was able to then go forth and birth her beautiful children. Diane loved her children; they were her life. She lived each day as if it was her last, because in her words, “God puts a date on your head and when that date comes, He takes you.” Diane enjoyed the little things in life and loved to talk. She would talk to anyone, even strangers on the street if they stopped. She had so much love to give, even to the strangers she came across, and that is how she will be remembered. God bless you, Diane Kathryn Barriere.
Her funeral is Tuesday, February 28th at 10:00 a.m. in St. John’s Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. Burial will be held at a later date in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Food for the Poor Program, 44 Temple Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
