Obituary

Norman F. LaFlamme, age 88, passed away on February 22, 2023 from Care One at Redstone in East Longmeadow. He was born on July 17, 1934 in Gardner, MA, son of the late Norman B. LaFlamme and Lillian (Dingman) LaFlamme. Norman served in the US Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a communicant of the former St Patrick’s Parish. He worked as a Pressman for numerous Printing Companies for many years before he retired. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Rita E. (Picard) LaFlamme of Chicopee; 2 daughters, Susan L. Cusson and her Fiancé James Breault of Chicopee and Sharon R. O’Keefe of Springfield; 2 sisters, Sandra Murray of Whitingsville and Brenda Philbin of Milford; 5 grandchildren, James Kulig, David Kulig, Katie O’Keefe, Tyler Rettew and Lindsey Rettew; 3 great grandchildren, Ayden, Lillian and Oliver. He is predeceased by 1 brother, Donn LaFlamme and 1 sister, Henrietta “Marion” Harding. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Robert Byrne at Holyoke Medical Center for all of the care he had shown to Norman over the years. Norman was an avid Sports fan. He was very knowledgeable about any sports trivia. He enjoyed fishing, boating and camping, especially at Lake Garfield where his family vacationed often.
