Alexanderson – of Marshfield June 2, Paul A. Jr. Beloved husband of the late Ailsa M. (Shepherd). Dear father of Paul A. Alexanderson III of Hadley, Jon Alexanderson of Marshfield and Steven Alexanderson of Marshfield. Also survived by 8 grand children and 2 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Ruth Emery and the late June Alexanderson.
A Memorial Service will be held at the North Community Church, Old Main Street, Marshfield Hills, MA Thursday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m. followed by A graveside service in the Marshfield Hills Cemetery at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited.

OBITUARY
Paul A. Alexanderson, Jr., 85 years old of Marshfield, died June 2, at the Jordan Hospital, Plymouth after a brief illness.

Born in Boston, MA. Long time resident of Marshfield.

Paul was a retired food broker.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology 1938 to 1941

Newport News Shipbuilding 1941 to 1942

Graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY in 1944.

Served aboard the USS Lavaca from 1944 to 1946

Veteran of U.S. Navy Reserve, WWII, Lieutenant (jg), retired 1953

Member of the Republican Town Committee.
Member of the Daniel Webster Masonic Lodge, Marshfield for 59 years.
Volunteer for the Council of Aging, Marshfield.
Member of the North River Arts Society.
Member of the Brockton Camera Club.

He was an avid photographer, woodworker and sailor.

Paul loved the ocean.

Husband of the late Ailsa M. (Shepherd) Alexanderson.
Survived by 3 sons - Paul A. Alexanderson of Hadley, MA
Jon C. Alexanderson of Marshfield
Steven B. Alexanderson of Marshfield
8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

Late sisters, Ruth Emery of Marshfield and June Alexanderson of New York City.
