LEICESTER: Nancy M. (Barnard) McCue, 71, of the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, sadly passed away suddenly in her home on Sunday, Feb. 19th. Nancy was an amazing mother and grandmother, fondly known as "Mimi", who would do anything for her family, especially her six grandchildren whom she adored more than anything. Her family will miss the joy she brought wherever she went, and the holiday creations she loved putting together. She could always be found at a yard sale where she enjoyed hunting for treasures to buy and sell with her longtime partner, John Fikoski of Worcester. She also leaves her two daughters: Kari-anne M. Bonin and her husband Eric, and Sheri J. Bullock and her husband Edward, all of Leicester; her former husband whom she remained good friends with, Vincent McCue, Jr. of Leicester; six adoring grandchildren: Brayden, Luke, Landon, Eliza, Aubrey and Brooklyn; her mother Ann (Spirio) Barnard of Amherst, NH; her brothers: Robert Barnard, Jr. of Naples, FL, Steven Barnard and Alan Barnard both of Merrimack, NH, and Jim Kelly of MO; sisters Patricia Turcotte of Lowell, MA, and Lisa Schandelmeier of VA, and their families. She is predeceased by her father Robert Barnard, Sr.; two brothers, Gary LeLievre and Jurgen Plojetz; and a step son, Craig McCue.
She was born in Woburn, MA and later graduated from Waltham High School. Nancy was a longtime real estate agent with various companies prior to her retirement.
A funeral service for Nancy, will be held on Wednesday, March 1st. at Noon in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 to Noon in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
