Obituary

Lowell - Lorraine R. "Grammy" (Beausoleil) Recco, a thirty year resident of Lowell's Highlands, passed away at her home on February 19, 2023. She was the wife of David R. Recco with whom they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary last September.

She was born in Nashua, NH on April 6, 1960, she was a daughter of the late Gerard Beausoleil, and the late Rita (LaFerriere) Beausoleil. She grew up in Lowell and was educated in the Lowell Schools. Lorraine was a champion snowshoer in New England and Canada; taking most valuable athlete 3 years in a row during the mid 1980's. Running out of the Le Chanteclerc Club in Dracut, MA. She was also a member of the US Bunting Club.

She and her husband loved to go dancing down the Copper Kettle, and listen to JC Golden Oldies. She loved to travel, and she loved the beach! The best trip Grammy ever planned was Christmas at Disney in December of 2021. Most of all she was a great and beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend; but she was the best Grammy anyone could have hoped for.

She is survived by her husband, David R. Recco of Lowell, and her daughters, Stacy M. Recco and her partner, Richard Hernandez of Lowell, and Andria Quezada of Lowell; her grandchildren, Samantha Hernandez of Phoenix, AZ, Richard Hernandez and Gianni Hernandez, Francisco Quezada, Sergio Quezada and Noah Mulumba all of Lowell. She is also survived by her four sisters, Suzanne Gonzalez, Luceille Forsyth, Elaine Beausoleil and Irene Rutledge; her three brothers, Robert and his wife, Gail, Gerard Beausoleil and his partner, Jody, and Andre Beausoleil.

In addition she leaves her brothers and sisters in law, Michael Recco and his wife, Taryn of Pepperell, MA, Alan Recco and his wife, Nancy of Litchfield, NH, John Recco and his wife, Maria of Hoosick, NY, and Susan Hardy and her husband, Richard of Manlias, NY. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her son, David, and her brothers, Lionel, Joseph and Michael, her mother and father in law, Albert and Mary Recco, and her nephew, Christopher Beausoleil.

Her family would like to thank everyone at Riverside Medical Associates, the Lowell General Cancer Center, Lowell General Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, Tufts Home Care, Tufts Home Hospice, and North East Rehab for care that she received.

On Monday, February 27, 2023, all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 10a.m. until 1p.m. at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816. Her funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 1p.m.
