James Donald “Donny” Robertson, 74, of Tifton passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. A Requiem Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023, in the Sanctuary of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church followed by a committal in the St. Anne's Memorial Garden. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the Parish Hall.
Born May 25, 1948, in Fayette, Alabama, Mr. Robertson was the son of the late Choice M. Robertson and Virginia Gilliand Robertson. Before retiring, he was the Plant Manager at Shaw Industries for 43 years. He was an active member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, and he was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife of 45 years, Libby S. Robertson of Tifton; his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Kristy Lamb of Tifton; his daughter, Christy Robertson of Tifton and his very best friend and grandson, Kayd Asbury; one brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Brenda Robertson of Centre, Alabama; and one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and David Oswalt of Fayette, Alabama. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much.
