Thomas A. Keirstead, 80, of Franklin died peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 19, 2023. He was the father of Thomas Keirstead of Auburndale and the brother of David Keirstead of Bellingham.
Born in Milford on May 18, 1942, he was the son of the late Francis Keirstead and Blanche (Stockton) Hendry.
Thomas grew up in Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School. He resided in Mendon for many years until moving to Franklin two and a half years ago.
Thomas worked at General Motors for many years. He also had served as an auxiliary police officer and a call firefighter for the Town of Bellingham and had worked for the Bellingham Highway Department.
Thomas was a car enthusiast with a special interest in trucks and mustangs and also enjoyed NASCAR. He loved Elvis and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 28 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street, Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
