Virginia “Ginger” Ethridge, 78, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, February 26, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Ike Thomas officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ethridge was born September 16, 1944, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late William & Mary Ruth Sumner Walker. She was a former employee of Hardees, Coastal Plains and the County Extension Service. Mrs. Ethridge loved to read, shop for shoes and clothes, garden and take care of her little dogs. Mrs. Ethridge was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma & Coleman Holton of Fitzgerald; a granddaughter, Amanda Holton of Albany and a sister, Lynn Heard & Buck of Moultrie. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Norman Ethridge; a son, Chris Ethridge; a grandson, Josh Holton and two sisters: Thelma Clark and Ann Griner.
