On Saturday, February 11, Dorothy Ann Morsicato, a beloved wife and mother, passed away at the age of 69 after a long battle with cancer. At the time of her passing in Haverhill at the High Pointe House, Dorothy was surrounded by family and her beloved dog, Oreo.
Dorothy was born on July 20, 1953 in Somerville, MA and raised in Medford, MA. She attended Medford High and received an Associates degree from Northeastern University in 1981. She and her husband moved to Tewksbury, MA 30 years ago, where she raised her family. She was an office manager prior to becoming a mother, and then revived a career by working in customer relations at the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA.
Dorothy was known best for her engaging personality and would continuously tell stories of the memories she’d collected throughout her life. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ronald Morsicato, her two daughters, Amanda Morsicato and Michelle Morsicato, an older sister, Cathy Field, and nieces and nephews. They are among those who will continue to tell her remarkable stories in her absence.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home at 10:30am. Her loved ones strongly encourage that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition at . ovarian.org
