M. Christina (Chris) DeLibero, R.N., B.Sc. Nsg. Ed.
She was the daughter of the late Emilio and Connie DeLibero and sister of the late Peter John DeLibero of Sault Ste Marie Ontario, Canada.
Chris received her R.N. from the Lorraine School of Nursing, Pembroke, Ontario in 1963 and a B.Sc.Nsg. Ed. From the University of Ottawa, Canada 1966. Served as clinical and classroom instructor at St. Vincent Hospital in Ottawa 1966-67. In 1968 Chris was tasked with the challenge of opening the Nursing Staff Development Department at the Miriam Hospital, Providence, RI and developed the orientation program for all nursing personnel, which she so competently facilitated for 31 years.
Chris was a past member of the American Nurses Association, and active member of the RI State Nurses Association.
A faithful member of St. John the Baptist Church in Westport, MA, she served as Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and Member of the Parish Council. Chris also served the sick and infirmed of the Parish by delivering Communion to the homebound who were grateful for her presence in their lives. She was the recipient of the Marian Medal for her many years of volunteer service to St. John the Baptist Church.
She is survived by many friends and colleagues.
A celebration of her life to which all are invited will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 945 Main Rd., Westport, MA 02790 on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be private.
