Steve was born December 26, 1954, to Walter Masse and Marion Plunkett in Boston, MA. Steve was also known as “Steve the Giant”. Steve is survived by his loving children, Bryan Masse and his wife Rachel of Braintree, Shannon Mansfield and her husband Ryan of Randolph, Andrew Masse and his wife Nichole of Halifax. Steve's pride and joy were his grandchildren Ashley Masse, Isabelle Bare, Kiera Bare and Sean Masse. Friend and former wife Marie Masse of Randolph. Brother of Ruth Carreiro and her husband Val, Edward Masse (deceased), Linda Masse and Joseph Glynn. Steve was also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Friday Feb 24 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Monicas Church, South Boston Saturday at 11:00A.M.
Steve was a two time Lowell Sun Golden Glove Heavy Weight Champ, Teamsters Local 82 / 25 Union worker, owned his own fencing company for many years and worked at The Sports Connection and Kelly’s Cork n Bull. Along with many other activities, Steve enjoyed fishing, playing pool and darts, and especially going on adventures with his grandchildren.
