Mrs. Rose E. (Chartier) Caisse, 95, of Tewksbury, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Blaire House in Tewksbury. The daughter of the late Victor and Jeannette (Poirier) Chartier, she was born in Lowell on November 12, 1927, attended Lowell schools, and has been an area resident all her life. She was an avid gardener, and also enjoyed crocheting and singing in the church choir. Most of all she loved to be surrounded by her family. Mrs. Caisse is the widow of Mr. John R. Caisse and was also predeceased by her son-in-law Robert P. Doig and her 10 siblings. She was the beloved mother of 5 children, and is survived by one daughter: Rose L. (Caisse) Doig of North Reading, and four sons: John R. Caisse, Jr and his wife Kathleen of Griswold, CT; James V. Caisse and his wife Debra of North Chelmsford; David W. Caisse of Nashua, NH; and Victor J. Caisse and his wife Carolyn of Hudson, NH. She is also survived by her twelve adoring grandchildren: Rebecca Doig, Jennifer Stempler, Matthew Caisse, Benjamin Caisse, Elizabeth Giardini, Brett Caisse, Kathryn Caisse, Jeffrey Caisse, Carolyn Cawley, Melissa Nelson, Jessica Bisson, and James Caisse. In addition, there are 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut. Her funeral procession will begin on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 9:00 am followed by a service at 10:00 am the Racicot Funeral Home, concluding with her interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
