Jordan, Of Brockton, June 2nd, Frances M. (Cerci) 74, wife of Robert Jordan of Brockton; daughter of Teresa (Celeste) Cerci of Bridgewater; mother of LT. Robert Sergio of Bridgewater, Lorraine Johnson of Easton and Laurie (Sergio) Sweeney and her husband Frank of Brockton; grandmother of Melanie Covel, Michelle Thurston, Micheal and Courtney Johnson and Gino Sergio; sister of Louise Stratoti of Bridgewater; also several nieces and nephews and close friends. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Cerci and a sister of a late brother of the same name.
She died Friday after a courageous battle with ALS.
She was bought up in Brockton and attended Brockton schools.
Frances worked for the New England Telephone Company for 35 years and a member of the telephone company Pioneer’s, also a warden for the city of Brockton during the elections.
She was also a member of the Whitman VFW. and an active supporter of the Brockton Crime Watch & Leadership Counsel
She enjoyed her family, shoe shopping, traveling, dancing and most of all her grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday June 7th at 10:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle), Whitman Visiting hours Tuesday 3-8.
