Angele Harik Haddad passed away February 10, 2023 at age 94 surrounded by her loving family and the wonderful nurses at MGH.
Angèle was a loving wife of the late Edmond Haddad, and a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was jovial and people loving. She was loved back by people of all ages appreciating her sense of humor and amiability. She was also resilient and strong. She dealt with whatever life threw her way with strength and faith relying on God, The Virgin Mary, her own wisdom, and her compassion. She was an avid reader and learner. She picked up languages, quilting and with the help of her daughter-in-law Nancy drawing and painting in her late eighties.
Angèle was a Lebanese American and resident of Medford. She immigrated with her children to the US in the eighties during the Lebanese civil war where she lived in Bloomington Indiana helping her late sister Linda run a Lebanese restaurant. Lately, she has lived intermittently between Beirut and Medford where her son resides.
Angele is the daughter of the late Farid and Saleemy Harik. She is survived by her children Helene (husband Massad Audi), George (wife Nancy Hendrickson Haddad), Amal (husband Karl Marks) and son Walid; her grandchildren Drs. Ramiz and Raja Audi; her sisters Laura (husband the late Fouad Abi-Saleh), Ilham (husband Antoine Bitar) and Fadia Harik; her sister in law Denise Baaklini Harik; along with many nephews and nieces and relatives residing all over the world.
A private funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden, MA (600 Pleasant St.) at 10 a.m. on Wednesday February 15, 2023. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
