Marjorie Louise Reser Brown left this earthly life and made a peaceful transition to Heaven at the age of 91. As we lovingly remember Marjorie we are comforted in knowing that although grief and loss will come in waves, our enduring love is as vast as an ocean of remembrance. Marjorie was born in Liberal, Kansas. She spent most of her earlier years in Humansville, Missouri and later Fillmore, California. Her years in Missouri were spent tirelessly working on a 500-acre dairy farm which she owned along with her husband, Alton Leroy Brown, and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Todd Brown. It was here two of her children were born, David Leroy and Nancy Louise. In 1963 the family moved to California and Marjorie’s farm-life work ethic translated into her creating a life-long career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse serving her community for nearly 40 years. She began her nursing career in the Ventura County Hospital Emergency Department, then she later worked in medical centers. During this time another son, Kenneth Todd Brown, was born, bringing tremendous joy to the family. Marjorie finished her nursing career, working for over 30 years at Twin Pines Nursing Home in Santa Paula, CA. She served her community and she loved spending time with her family. Marjorie is survived by her daughter Nancy Louise Brown-Molony (Don) of Oxnard, CA; son Kenneth Todd Brown (Joy) of Oxnard; Five Grandchildren: Rebecca Peters (Micah) of Montecito, CA; Miranda Brown of Greenville, SC; Timothy Brown, Rachel Brown and Stephen Brown of Oxnard, CA; and one Great Grandchild, Stella Vie Peters of Montecito, CA. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Alton, to whom she was married until his passing in 1995, and her son David (Joanie, Miranda, Melissa and Adrian). She had 6 wonderful siblings. Betty (Bill), Keith (Kathy) and Johnny(Donna), preceded in death by Wayne, ImaJean (Lester) and Peggy (Lewis). She was also blessed with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. We are deeply grateful that Marjorie was able to live her last days in Nancy and Don's home with special loving care given by Timothy, Rachel and Stephen Brown, supportive friends and family, and Victor Martinez and Dr. Vermin of Oakhurst Hospice who provided the respectful care Marjorie deserved and the comfort our family needed. In lieu of flowers, please make a meal for a neighbor, lend a stranger a helping hand or donate to World Central Kitchen.
