Kage Dees, 80, of Tifton passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Dees at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where he will be laid to rest. Family members will give eulogies. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Dees’ grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Born February 14, 1942, in Rienzi, Mississippi, Mr. Dees was the son of the late Homer Dees and Vera Cook Dees. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Gilbert Dees, Buddy Dees, Wayne Dees, Bobby Dees, Ray Dees and Cathy Dees. He moved to Tifton in 1961 to be a cattle rancher for R. E. Carmichael. He retired from UPS after 33 years of service.
Mr. Dees’ hobbies were hunting, fishing and restoring old tractors and vehicles. He loved riding his Harley with his brothers and friends. His true joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He attended Tift Avenue Baptist Church.
Mr. Dees is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Sue Morrow Dees of Tifton, who he married on August 5, 1962; one son and daughter-in-law, Vincent Kage and Tara Heath Dees of Kennesaw; two daughters and sons-in-law, JoJo Dees Clark and Charles Scott Clark and Tina Dees Bragg and Robert Donald “Donny” Bragg, all of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Julie Dees of Rome and Jeff and Jennifer Dees of Hoover, Alabama; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Gary Williams of Corinth, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Robert “Luke” Bragg and his wife Nicole McClellan Bragg, Ryan Patrick Bragg, Abigail Heath Dees, Kage Greyson Dees, Jackson Scott Clark and his wife Abby Smith Clark, and Maggie Dees Clark; and one great-granddaughter, Lucy Amelia Bragg.
