Helen Frances (Sargent) Blinstrub, 98 of Franklin died February 8, peacefully at her home. She was the wife of the late Alexander S. Blinstrub who passed away in 2003.
Born in Boston November 2, 1924, the daughter of the late Louis and Helen (McNulty) Sargent, Helen was raised in Brighton and had lived in Newton for many years. Helen and Al enjoyed retirement in Berwick, Maine before moving in with their daughter, Susan, in Franklin.
Helen always cherished being in the company of her family and friends. She loved following the women’s basketball team at Babson college where her daughter is the head coach. She loved her frequent trips with Al in Hawaii and Anna Maria Island, Florida.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Helen R. Blinstrub of Melrose, Karen A. Blinstrub of California, Susan A. Sullivan and her husband William of Franklin and Judy Blinstrub Jennings and her husband Jim of Framingham.
She was predeceased by her daughter Mary Lee who resided with her husband Frank of Boston.
Helen was the sister of the late Steve Sargent.
Her funeral service will be private with burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
