Dawn Elizabeth Greene Hurt, 53, passed away on February 4, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Sunnyside.
She was born on October 27, 1969 in Prosser to Harry and Kay (Patterson) Greene. She was raised in Prosser and Grandview. She worked as a caregiver most of her life. Dawn was a traveling free spirit who always considered Grandview her home. She enjoyed coloring, journaling, cross-stitch and caring for her houseplants. She was a friend to many and loved her family.
She is survived by her former husband, Christopher Hurt of Seattle; four children, Tyler Greene of Grandview, Violet Buzzell of Sunnyside, Steven Hurt of Everett and Rebecca Hurt of Mabton; two sisters, Lorene Greene of Deer Park and Katherine Greene of Grandview; and three grandchildren, Lukas, Sebastian and Rosabelle Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Viewing will be held at Prosser Funeral Home on Friday, February 10th from 4:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 11th at Anchor Point Church in Grandview.
