CHICOPEE – Kerry Valentine Bartosz, 70, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on July 25, 1952, a beloved son of the late Raymond V. Bartosz who was Called Home on February 27, 2006 and the late Patricia K. (Taugher) Bartosz who was Called Home on November 16, 2016. He was raised on Manning Street in Fairview, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. He served his country in the Air National Guard in Westfield for ten years. He was employed as a Firefighter with the Chicopee Fire Department for 29 years at Station Eight in Fairview and retired in 2005. During his leisure time, he enjoyed being outdoors and loved fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Denise E. (Chevrette) Bartosz. They were married on May 15, 1976 at Saint Anne Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 46 years of happiness together. He also leaves his loving daughter, Katie L. Bartosz and her partner, Brian Roy, of Chicopee; his loving son, Mark V. Bartosz and his partner, Lindsey LaBelle, of Chicopee; his cherished grandson, Jesse V. Bartosz; his dear brother, Raymond J. Bartosz and his wife, Brenda, of Chicopee; his dear sister, Cindy A. Doray and her husband, Norman, of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and numerous friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear brother-in-law, Robert R. “Chevy” Chevrette. His funeral services and burial will be private. There are no visiting hours.
