Lillian M. (Metivier) VerCammen, 94, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the daughter of the late George A. and Blanche O. (Bourque) Metivier.
Mrs. VerCammen was born in New Bedford and had been a longtime resident of Westport. Prior to retirement, she worked as a seamstress for various area mills. She was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Mrs. VerCammen enjoyed bowling and knitting but her greatest joy was spending time with family.
Survivors include her 2 sons: Wayne VerCammen and his wife Dorothy of Bradenton, FL and Kenneth VerCammen of New Bedford; her 2 daughters: Doreen H. Farland and her husband Ronald of Westport and Angela A. McGinn and her husband John of Bangor, ME; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Alma Dube, Grace Fagan, Doris Fernandes and Maurice Metivier.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
