Obituary


Webster: Phongsanh Manilut, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023 around 1:55 pm, in St. Vincent Hospital following a short illness. He was born in Bahn Song Taiy Luang Prabang Laos

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Deaun (Janrivong) Manilut, children Jay Vien Manilut and his wife Aot, Vilaychith Phanthavong and her late husband Kaethong, Vilaylack Thim Inthirath and her husband Mark, Vilasack Thun Manilut, and Nunee Boivin and her husband Robert, grandchildren Aaron, Taven, Kylee, Anousone, Dawanee, Eric, Lexi, Jace, Benjamin and Kooper. He is predeceased by his parents Xieng Mee and Daeng Manirath, brother Thitd Phaeng Manirath and sisters Saengsy Manirath and Phaendy Manirath, son Visian Palet.

Phongsanh immigrated to Boston, MA in 1981. He loved to go fishing and spend time with his family, especially his grandkids. He worked as an elementary school teacher in Laos, Electro Mechanical Technician at WPI and a Computer System Test Technician at EMC before retiring in 2012. He was an active member of the Laotian Community in Massachusetts and proudly served as Treasurer for over 20 years. He was involved in the local Buddhist Community and participated in many social events and religious gatherings.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 starting at 10:30 am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street Worcester, MA 01605.
