Charles “Charlie” Adam Tambouris, age 88 passed away suddenly on February 5, 2023. Born in Fourka, Greece in 1934, Charlie emigrated to Manchester, NH with his family at the age of 12. Charlie graduated from Central High School in Manchester, NH.
He went on to serve in the U.S. Navy aboard the survey ship USS Tanner as a Quarter Master.
Charlie worked at Rockingham Park Race Track in Salem, NH for over forty years. He was an avid golfer, winning many awards and was featured in Golf Digest.
Survived by his wife, Bette Ann, sister Helen Wilcox of Manchester, sons, David and Richard of Manchester, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Charles.
Calling hours will be Wednesday February 8, 2023 from 4 – 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Graveside services will be on Thursday February 9th at 1:00pm at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
