Pauline F. (Mason) Burns, age 90, of Medford passed away on Friday, February 3rd, at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home of Lawrence. A lifelong Medford resident, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor M. Vitagliano. Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Earl K. “Jimmie” Burns, Jr., and the devoted mother of Michael E. Burns and his wife Mary Fortune-Burns of Bourne, Kathleen A. Lally and her husband Daniel of North Reading, Karen L. Parady and her husband Peter of Amesbury, Timothy J. Burns and his wife Lorean of Nevada, and Kristine L. Jay and her husband Rick of Wilmington. She was the loving grandmother of Jenny, Emma and her fiancé Tom, Dan and his wife Kate, Brian and his fiancée Taylor, Erin, James, William, Kyle and his wife Noemi, and Alyssa. Pauline was the loving great grandmother of Tyler, Makenna, Valerie, Timothy, Averie and Ryder, and the sister of Richard Vitagliano and his late wife Maria, and Joan Vitagliano. She was the aunt of Sarah Rice and her husband Mike, Tim Vitagliano and his wife Marie, Andrew Vitagliano and Daniel Bucy, and is also survived by all who called her “Ma Burns.”
A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, February 11th at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family on Friday, February 10th, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
