Son of the late Helen (Grzelczyk) and Benjamin F. Taraskiewicz, Sr. Beloved father of Laurie Taraskiewicz of Chelsea and Benae Bertocchi and her husband Daniel of Revere. Cherished "papa" of Daniel, Gina Marie and Cameron Bertocchi all of Revere. Brother of Ronald B. Taraskiewicz, Sr. of Florida, Richard Taraskiewicz of Everett, Anthony Taraskiewicz and his wife Cynthia of Chelsea and the late Francis R. Taraskiewicz. Dear brother-in-law of Marlene Taraskiewicz of Peabody. Loving uncle and godfather of Deborah Alimonti of Peabody and uncle to Ronald B. Taraskiewicz, Jr. of Peabody, Ryan Taraskiewicz of Everett and the late Susan Taraskiewicz. Great uncle of Jacleen, Jillian and James Alimonti all of Peabody. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Saturday morning, June 10 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, CHELSEA at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with Committal Services in the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel.
Born in Chelsea and a resident until moving to Texas due to an employment relocation 25 years ago, "Ski" passed away at his home in North Richland Hills, Texas after a brief illness.
An employee of American Airlines, he retired last month after 39 years of service.
A member of the National Guard, he was also a member of the Chelsea Elks and was an original member of the Winnissimett Club.
Because of the exceptional care offered by hospice, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local Hospice organization.
