WORCESTER–Sofi (Hila) Andoni, 93, of 16 Suburban Road died Thursday, June 1st in UMass–Memorial Hospital. Her husband Misto Andoni died in 1990 in Albania. She leaves a son, Spiro and his wife Nina Andoni of Worcester and two grandsons, Marin Andoni and Arben Andoni both of Worcester.
Mrs. Andoni was born in Hoshteve-Zagorie, Albania the daughter of Aleks and Angelina (Ndreu) Hila. She was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church.
The funeral is Monday, June 5th with a service at 11:00 AM in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, June 4th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Trisagion service beginning at 6:30 PM.
