Kevin Michael Smith Sr., 59 of Rehoboth, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023.
Kevin was born in Brockton, Massachusetts to the late Harvey A. Smith Jr. and Marjorie L. (Johnson) (Smith) Kessinger.
He grew up in Whitman and attended the Weymouth Technical High School, graduating in 1981. He went on to join the sheet metal workers Local 17, where he was a proud member for over 40 years.
Kevin was an avid outdoorsman and was always sharing his wealth of knowledge with those around him. He spent time beekeeping, farming, canoeing, hunting, and hiking. He also was a member of the Easton Rod and Gun Club and the Tri-County Beagle Club.
Loving father of Kevin M. Smith Jr. of Hanover and Alexandra M. Smith and her husband Jonathan Mleczko of Dorchester. Cherished brother to Harvey A. Smith III and his wife Valerie of Micco, Florida; and Darlene (Smith) Casey and her husband Edward L. Casey III of Lakeville. Proud grandfather to Henryk. He is also survived by beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be dearly missed by his entire family and many friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Whitman on Sunday, February 5th from 3-6pm. Service will be held at the Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 6th at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
