Raymond Allen Gerrior, 80, of Derry, NH passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at his residence after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born May 29, 1942, in Middleboro, MA and was the son of the late Leo and Celia (Bouchard) Gerrior. Ray was raised and educated in the Middleboro and the Cape Cod area and has been a resident of Derry since 2008.
Ray retired as a Master Sergeant from the Air Force after 20 years of service including tours in Korea and Vietnam. Following his military career, he spent the next 20 years as a submarine mechanic, beginning in Portsmouth, NH and continuing in Kings Bay, GA.
Ray was an avid fisherman and enjoyed salt-water activities. He was a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved watching football and enjoyed seeing the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl six times.
Ray is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pamela (Golder) Gerrior, of Derry, his daughter Renée Gerrior and her spouse Deborah Clark also of Derry, two grandchildren, Samantha and Christopher Gerrior, both of Milford, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond Allen Gerrior II, in 2020 as well as his 12 siblings.
Calling hours will be Saturday, February 11th from 1 – 3:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Burial will be at a later date with Military Honors at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Route 3, Boscawen, NH.
