Diane L. (Dallaire) Connors, 74, of Westport, died Saturday evening at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Roland G. Dallaire and Gerda (Boucher) Dallaire, resided in Westport her entire life. Diane was a graduate of Westport High School, class of 1966. She attended the Diman Vocational School of Practical Nursing and received her LPN in 1968. She began her nursing career at Truesdale Hospital and continued on at Charlton Memorial Hospital and remained there until the early 1990s. She then worked as a MMQ Coordinator for different nursing homes including the Highlander, Southpointe, and Somerset Ridge Center. Diane retired in 2013 after 45 years of nursing.
Diane loved to travel with friends. Her adventures expanded the globe from places like Egypt, Amsterdam, Ireland, Iceland, Russia, Rome, Spain, and many more. Diane enjoyed the theater and had an expansive collection of playbills from the many shows she attended. Diane was also an avid shopper and always looked for a bargain. She shared many laughs with family and friends on shopping trips. On Sunday afternoons, you could find Diane watching and cheering on her favorite team, the New England Patriots. However, there was nothing Diane loved more than cheering on her grandsons at their many sporting events.
Survivors include her son: Sean Connors and his wife Linda of Warwick RI; her daughter: Erin Connors and her partner Jay Souza of Westport; her beloved grandsons: Jared & Austin Connors and Trent & Dustin Souza; two brothers: Roland Dallaire of Pennsylvania and Richard Dallaire and his wife Linda of Somerset; two great grandchildren: Chase & Lohgan Williams-Connors; and a niece and nephews.
