Hrisoula was a highly devoted Christian Orthodox and member of Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She was known to her friends as “Hrisi” which translates to Golden. She was fond of giving and making sure others wanted for nothing. She was immensely passionate in her "philosophies" and "committed" to sharing them with family or other innocent bystanders. Nothing compared to her greatest joy of all, celebrating life, whether through song, dance and at times, drink. Whenever possible she could be found surrounded with "Parea" (large group of family and friends). In her later years, she took pride in celebrating the joys of her children’s and grandchildren’s various milestones. Hrisoula, Mama, Yia Yia, Big Yia Yia will be greatly missed by her family.
Two of Yia Yia's fond sayings were, “I don’t care, Never-mind”, along with "Goodnight Charlie". We love you, Yia Yia rest in peace.
