Rita Zottola, 88, of South Main Street, Pascoag, died Saturday, January 28, 2023 at home, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Francesco Zottola who died in 1989. They had been married for 32 years at the time of his death.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Annibale and Amalia (Baldini) Tulli. She had lived in Pascoag for 35 years.
Rita had worked in the textile mills before retiring.
She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church and St Eugene's Church.
She was the beloved mother of Amalia Leblanc, Jo-ann and Linda Zottola, all of Pascoag, She was the beloved grandmother of Steven, Candice and her husband, Matt, Joseph and Diana and her husband, Ryan and beloved great grandmother of Ella, Allan, Alivia, Maverick and one on the way. She was the sister of the late two brothers Benjamin Tulli and Albert Tulli and two sisters Dora Volpigno and Anna Gesualdi.
She enjoyed going to casino, out to eat, parties, vacations with her family and she would cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Rita was a selfless individual who would always put others needs ahead of her own and will be immensely missed by everyone who know her.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Eugene’s Church, Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Thursday evening 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
