Anabis’ life was devoted to caring for others. A registered nurse for more than 40 years, she brought comfort and care to the elderly at Hamilton House Nursing Home in Needham and Hebrew Senior Life in Roslindale until her retirement in 2008. But it was the care and sacrifices she made for her family that truly defined her. With grace, grit, and a quiet strength she and her husband Tony raised their 7 children to be strong, independent, loving, intelligent, hard-working individuals. She reveled in being “Nana Tizzano” and the pure joy her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought to her life.
Visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham on Saturday February 4th from 8:30-10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church of the Most Precious Blood, Dover at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Dover.
