It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa (Cossette)
Bastianelli, who passed away peacefully on January 25, 2023. Born on
September 23, 1928, Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Anthony
Bastianelli, and a loving mother to Nanette Iula and her husband John
Galotti, Yvonne Bastianelli, Anthony Bastianelli Jr, and Rock
Bastianelli and his wife Michele. She was also a proud grandmother to her 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great
grandchildren. Sister of Viola Naccarato, Gisele McLaughlin, and the late Roland Cossette and the late Yvonne Anderson.
As the matriarch of the family, Theresa was known for her love of
debating and her passion for playing cards with her family, traveling
with her best friend and sister Yvonne Anderson, and dancing the night
away at Mosley's on the Charles. She was an amazing hostess and cook,
always welcoming everyone with open arms and a delicious meal.
Additionally, Theresa was a woman with a love of learning and she even
started college at the age of 50. She was always reading, asking
questions and exploring new ideas.
Theresa will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her
memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Services were held
at Noon on February 1, 2023 at St Michael's Cemetery chapel Roslindale.
