Frank Joseph Cadillac, Jr. 76, of Franklin, died January 25 in his home following a chronic illness. He was the husband of Socorro (Brazil) Cadillac for the past 50 years.
Born in Natick, May 27, 1946, the son of the late Frank J. and Emma L. (Nichols) Cadillac, Mr. Cadillac was raised in Natick and had lived in Franklin since 1974.
Frank was a graduate of Natick High School and also received an Associate’s Degree from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst..
He had been a master mechanic for the Wellesley Fire Dept. for 31 years before retiring.
Mr. Cadillac served in the Navy during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of ASE2.
Frank enjoyed gardening, collecting tractors, operating his sawmills, and traveling with his wife.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Gene Cadillac of Franklin, daughter, Lani McCarthy and her husband Matthew of Natick, as well as his grandson, Joseph Frank McCarthy.
He is also survived by his brother Ronald Cadillac of West Yarmouth.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 10:00a.m.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Natick.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
