Obituary

Helen H. (Harding) Oro, 81, died at home in Stoughton on Thursday, June 1 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Gordon W. Oro. Born in Somerville, she was a graduate of Somerville High School. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1952. Mrs. Oro was a housewife at home with her family. She was a member of the Viking Club and Stenkil Lodge in Braintree. In her free time Mrs. Oro enjoyed gardening, bird watching, golfing, bowling, playing cribbage and watching the Red Sox.

In addition to her husband, Gordon, she is survived by her daughter, Paula R. Piccolo and her husband Richard of Andover, her son, David H. Oro and his wife Barbara of Melrose and her grandchildren, Christopher, Olivia and Madeline Oro. She was the sister-in-law of William and Marilyn Oro and Lillian and the late Roy Oro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, June 5 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Donations in Helen’s name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02368 or Stoughton VNA, 10 Pearl St., Stoughton, 02072.
