Bruce E. Summers, 65 formerly of Santa Ana, California passed away peacefully January 17th, 2023 surrounded by loved ones near and far through loving thoughts and prayers.
Bruce was a gifted guitarist, he had a special flair and unique ability to transcend his style of music with other styles. Bruce's deep rooted passion for American Blues led him to form his own band the BS Blues Review, while also partaking in gigs with other bands. He had the best of times participating in jam sessions and kicking back with a large group of friends at Matt’s Garage. He referred to these same friends as his “brothers” and they considered him second only to Jimi Hendrix.
Bruce loved playing golf, attending music concerts, cooking and hanging out with loved ones. He would spend his nights watching cooking shows and critiquing the chefs. He took pride in his work as a tile setter and landscaper. He was also employed at Town Paint and Supply for many years.
Bruce is survived by his loving companion Rosemary Raposo and her son Jason Raposo,his daughter Celina Ramos,brother of Steve Webb and Rhonda Macedo, Grandfather to Elaina Vazquez, "Puppa" to Jayvre, Sofia, and Giovanni Raposo, Great Grandfather to Joseph, Jaxon,and Elia Cardenas, and Uncle to Christopher and Lauren Macedo. He was predeceased by his son Bruce E. Summers Jr. , his parents Leonor Webb and Von Summers, and sister Barbara Thornton.
Bruce was greatly loved by all and will be sorely missed. May he continue to strum his guitar for all eternity.
Bruce's visiting hours with his cremains will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Perry Funeral Home from 8:30 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M.
