Todd Alan McClary, 48, of Sandown, NH passed away on Monday January 23, 2023 at
his home. Todd was born in Manchester, NH on March 3, 1974, a son of Kenneth and
Janice (Clark) McClary. He was raised and educated in Sandown, and spent most of his
life living there.
Todd dedicated himself to the Biotech industry working in the field for over 20 years. He
was employed at Moderna working as a Senior Technical Specialist. Todd loved
creating art and received an associate degree in graphic design. Todd’s beloved son
Ben was born in 1994. Todd met the love of his life Kristin and they got married at a
beautiful wedding in 2016. Together they purchased their dream home in Sandown, NH
in 2015.
Todd was a light in every room he walked into. His smile and laugh were infectious and
he always wanted to put a smile on everyone’s face. Todd loved being outdoors and
was happiest spending time working on his trails in his backyard or working on projects
at his home. Todd could spend hours working on his cars and trucks and literally
enjoyed every minute of it. He enjoyed camping and spending time in Colebrook, NH
with family and friends. Todd loved taking family walks with his dog Gus and wife Kristin
on the trails he worked so hard to build. He always lived by his “Go Big Or Go Home
Attitude” and put his full effort into the things that he loved.
Todd would light up when he spent time with his son Ben and was so proud to be his
father. They shared their love of art, outdoors, and finding contentment and happiness
in the things they were grateful for. Over the years their relationship strengthened and
they became best friends.
Todd and Kristin married at Zorvino Winery in Sandown, NH. Todd and Kristin loved
spending every moment together and they were deeply in love. Todd made it a goal to
make Kristin giggle every day.
Todd was easy going and got along with everyone. He loved to joke and just be his
goofy self but was also a mentor to a lot of important friends and colleagues. Todd was
a leader and many people looked up to him. He was a loyal friend and would do
anything for the people he loved.
To know Todd, was to love him.
He is survived by his wife, Kristin (Sorota) McClary of Sandown, one son, Ben McClary
of Newmarket, NH, his beloved Gus of Sandown, NH, his mother, Janice McClary of
Newmarket, NH, his father and step-mother, Kenneth and Lee McClary of Little River,
SC, his wife’s parents, John and Joy Sorota of Lowell, MA, his sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law, Kerri and Mike Patenaude, Kelsey and Jason Beharry, and Kevin and
Chelsey Sorota all of Lowell, MA, and Keith and Erin Clarke Sorota of Andover, MA, and
nieces and nephews, Tyler and Grace Patenaude, Flynn, Jackson, and Ruby Sorota
and Kenley Sorota. He also leaves his many loving aunts, uncles and cousins as well as
his dear friends, the Robinson and Elwell families.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Sunday January 29, 2023 from
12:30pm to 3:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth
Rd., Londonderry, NH. A time of sharing will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. He
was a supporter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and anything related to being
outdoors.
