William Holly Jr., of South Boston, passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a long illness on January 22, 2023.
Beloved husband of Marjorie A. (Zandi) Holly. Devoted father of Jacqueline R. Canavan, and her husband Jeffrey M. Canavan, Kelly A. Holly and her partner, Warren J. Zaniboni, and Lisa M. Holly, all of South Boston. Cherished grandfather of William J., and Taryn M. Mancuso. Loving great grandfather of Cooper J. O’Brien, all of South Boston.
William was predeceased by his parents, William R. Holly, Sr., and Helen T. (Kempa) Holly, his brothers, Michael and James, and sisters, Maureen and Monica, all of South Boston.
He is survived by his sisters, Laura H. Sutera, and Loreen F. Culp, both of Boynton Beach, FL as well as his brother Jeremiah K. Holly of Rhode Island.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
There will be a wake held from 4PM to 7PM on Thursday, January 26 at Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Friday, January 27 at St. Brigid of Kildare Church, 845 E. Broadway, South Boston.
Interment will be private.
