Cynthia Ellen (Bird) Zilafro, 65, of Pendleton, died January 22, 2023 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis after an extended illness.
Cynthia was born March 2, 1957 in Moberly, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Nancy (Moss) Bird. She graduated from East Prairie High School and Murray State University. She was a school nurse at Southview Preschool. She loved Disney and was a Disney Vacation Club member. She was an avid Stitch fan. She loved her grandchildren and interacting with all her preschool children. She collected crystals and essential oils. She loved being a nurse and making people feel better.
Cynthia is survived by her mother, Nancy Bird of East Prairie, Missouri; her two children, Joshua (Melissa Roush) Zilafro of Indianapolis and Stacie Zilafro of Anderson; two grandchildren, Ryker Zilafro and Rigley Zilafro; her sister, Mellissa (Tom) Prigge of Paducah, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be 5 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Nurse's Honor Guard service will be at the start of the service.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023.
