Alfred (Freddy) S. Emerson Jr. 78, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 22, 2023, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a long battle with Alzheimer and Parkinson’s disease. Known as “ Freddy “ to all his family and friends, he was born on April 7, 1944 in Derry, New Hampshire. Freddy was educated through the Epping and Derry Public School Systems.
He had many jobs growing up but found his niche in carpentry. Freddy found joy in carpentry and would often point out homes throughout towns that he had built. In 1981 Freddy met the love of his life, Lucille. The two married in 1983. Together they were longtime residents of Derry.
Freddy is survived by his loving wife, Lucille; his son Sean Emerson and grandchildren Grayson and Owen Emerson all of Derry. Daughters; Kim Haggerty of Revere, MA; Nicole and her husband Joseph Mascaro of Andover, MA; and son Matthew Emerson and daughter Stacy Bruno both of New Hampshire. He will also be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Freddy is predeceased by his father Alfred S Emerson Sr, mother Mildred and brother Robert.
Relatives and friends were invited to a small service on Friday, January 27th from 12:30-1:30 pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St, Derry, NH. Burial took place immediately following the service at Forest Hill Cemetery also in E. Derry.
