Marie Louise Clotilde Pierre was born in Dufaille, a region of Mirebalais, Haiti on December 14, 1922. She died on January 18, 2023. Marie had lived a long life of 100 years, 1 month, and 4 days. In her adult life she was a vocational teacher who taught her professions of fashion-design and seamstress to a countless number of young women. She was married and became Marie Louise Clotilde Jean-Michel, the mother of 8 children.
Marie is mourned by her children, 17 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, plus sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and so many long time friends, along with fellow Jehovah Witnesses whom she met over years after her baptism in June of 1990.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses she set a fine example when it came to preaching the good news, being a generous giver and attending congregation meetings until she became confined to her sickbed. Yet even from her sickbed, she continued to attend meetings, assemblies, and conventions using live-streaming or zoom.
Viewing hours will be on Saturday February 4, 2023 from 9-10 AM followed by a funeral service from 10-11:30 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale.
