HOLLIS- Beverly June Gerry, age 84, passed away on Jan. 19, 2023.
She was born in Scarborough on Nov. 22, 1938, a daughter of the late Ernest and Caroline (Jordan) Bowley and graduated from Scarborough High School. Although she lived in Hollis for many years, Beverly always considered Scarborough as her home.
She is predeceased by an infant son- Jeffrey Gerry.
Beverly is survived by the love of her life- Elwin Gerry of Hollis whom she married on Oct. 11, 1958; daughters- Lisa Hillock and her husband David of Hollis and Bonnie Howe and her husband Henry of Standish; grandchildren- Candace Veling and her husband Paul, Casey Hillock and his wife Meg, Caitlyn Yarumian and her husband Dan, Caroline Bishop and her husband Nic, Angela Hill, Devin Hill and Desirae Hill; great grandchildren- Madyson, Morgan and Makenzie Veling, Rileigh and Reagan Hillock, Anna and Griffin Yarumian, Claire and Rowan Bishop, Abigail French and Zander Hill.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for taking such great care of Beverly. In addition, the family would like to thank her personal aide, Sara, who treated her like her own grandmother.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday Jan. 26 from 5 – 7 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Burial will be amongst Beverly’s family in the spring at Black Point Cemetery in Scarborough.
