SPELLMAN, Edith (Greenfield) Of Dedham, January 12, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Harry J. Spellman Jr. Devoted mother of Lynn Spellman Driscoll of Dedham and James Spellman and his wife Laurie Phinney of Dedham. Grandmother of James Driscoll and Matthew Driscoll of Dedham. Great-grandmother of S. Pierce Driscoll and Leia Driscoll. Sister of the late Maurice, James, and Harry Greenfield and Ruby Smith. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Edith was a longtime registered nurse at the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury. She was a member of the Dedham Moose Lodge, WOTM Chapter 2145 and the Dedham VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending lots of her time at her house in South Yarmouth with her nursing friends and their spouses.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Monday, Jan. 23 from 4-7pm. A committal service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 12:30pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
