We are grieved to share Karen M. Anderson-Rainey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, unexpectedly passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 76.
Karen is survived by her husband Al Rainey, her children Bob Anderson Jr, Todd Anderson, Kristin Rancourt and their families. She has ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her siblings Fr. Ralph Elias Haddix, Janis Hellested, Dawn Mason and many more family members and friends. Karen is predeceased by her son Jason Rainey.
Karen was born to the late Ralph and Marie Haddix on December 26, 1946 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. She graduated from North Weymouth High School, and was an employee of State Street Corporation, Quincy, Massachusetts for over 25 years, of which she retired in 2003. Karen is a lifetime member of the Whitman VFW Auxiliary.
Karen, enjoyed time with her family, her dog Reese, and was committed to giving back to her community through various local charities.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel located on Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the rotary) Whitman, Massachusetts. The family invites you to join them following the ceremony at Whitman VFW, 95 Essex Street, Whitman, Massachusetts.
