Rick was born in Worcester, son of the late Charles Pappas and Evelyn (Robinson) Gamble. He graduated from Burncoat High School and attended Quinsigamond Community College. He lived in SC training horses which is where his passion for animals and nature really developed. He worked for many years at UPS and as a truck driver. He loved his time as a driving instructor for Central Mass Safety Council in West Boylston. He most recently worked in the water department for the City of Worcester. He loved fishing, hunting, and everything to do with the outdoors. He always took friends and family camping and loved teaching the intricacies of the outdoors. He loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed teaching his sons how to ride. He was very handy and could fix almost anything. Rick was loved by everyone he met. Anywhere he would go in the city you would hear “Ricky!” being yelled out, or him yelling out someone else’s name that he befriended in life. From the barber shop to the fruit stand, to the local car wash, and the police force, he was friends with everyone.
